Guidelines and Mechanics

EVENTS

1. 1. 6-8 years old Singles
   2. 9-12 years old Single boys
   3. 9-12 years old Single girls
   4. 9-12 years old Doubles boys
   5. 9-12 years old Doubles girls
   6. 13-17 years old Single boys
   7. 13-17 years old Single girls
   8. 13-17 years old Doubles boys
   9. 13-17 years old Doubles girls

 ELIGIBILITY

1. Sulay sa Futuro Sports League – Table Tennis shall be open to all residents of Sorsogon City ONLY.
2. Participants in Event A shall not be allowed to register in any other event.
3. Participants in Events B to I will be allowed to play in Singles and Doubles Events within the same age bracket.
4. Age restrictions for participants:

• Event A: born from 01 December 2015 to 30 November 2018
• Events B, C, D, and E: born from 01 December 2011 to 30 November 2015
• Events F, G, H, and I: born from 01 December 2006 to 30 November 2011

5. A maximum of eight (8) entries per event shall be accommodated. In case a slot has not been filled, walk-in participants will be accepted.

 REGISTRATION

1. Registration shall be done thru the provided online registration form. Documents to be submitted are as follows:
   1. Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
   2. Learner Reference Number
   3. Proof of Residence in Sorsogon City (Barangay Certificate, Valid ID with indicated address, or School ID)
2. Registration shall be open two (2) weeks before the official start of Sulay sa Futuro Sports League to give ample time for the organizers to verify the documents and finalize the list of participants.
3. Final list of accepted registrants will be posted on the Sulay sa Futuro Sports League – Table Tennis Facebook page. Walk-in registration will be accepted as long as there are available slots in an event.
4. Registration shall be free of charge.

 RULES AND COMPETITION FORMAT

1. Players shall be required to attend the training every Saturday at Sorsogon City Hall which shall officially start on the 1^st Saturday of May. Monthly rankings thru official matches, scheduled on the last Saturday of every month, shall be conducted to determine which players will be qualified to compete in the Playoffs in December 2024. Any change in the schedule of the monthly official matches shall be announced to the participants beforehand.
2. All games shall be conducted in accordance with the current International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Rules. However, any unforeseen circumstances that may arise throughout the tournament which are not covered by the ITTF rules shall be resolved by the organizers with finality.
3. The tournament format to be used shall be single round robin.
4. All matches of the tournament shall be decided by a best-of-five (5) format except for championship games which shall be decided by a best-of-seven (7) format.
5. A 5-minute defaulting time will be observed.
6. Participants will not be allowed to play if not in proper sports attire. Participants shall bring their own rackets.
7. Each player shall be given reasonable time to inspect his/her opponent’s racket before the game, provided that only the organizers may determine whether the playing racket complies with the requirements under the ITTF Rules and may be used in the competition. A participant shall use only one (1) racket for every match; in-game change of racket is prohibited.
8. The organizers reserve the right to modify the above-mentioned rules and competition format at any time without prior notice. The decision of the organizers shall be final and irrevocable.
