The recently City Government launched “Paskong Pinoy,” a Christmas-decoration competition among the City’s barangays even as it lit up the Rompeolas and the City’s center islands.
Paskong Pinoy aims to rouse the Christmas spirit in each and every Sorsoganon amidst these trying times through the nostalgic celebration of Christmas.
Acknowledging that Christmas is the most awaited time of the year, Mayor Ester Hamor hopes that Sorsoganons will look forward to a better Yuletide Season. The highlight of the activity is the contest among the barangays.
The barangay halls of the City will showcase their unique Christmas designs to demonstrate to all their constituents that Christmas will be celebrated despite the threat of pandemic. Winners of the contest will receive cash prizes, with the champion receiving P 25,000.00. The second and third placers will receive P15,000 and P10,000 respectively.
