A visit to the capitol park and immersion with the locals makes everyone experience being a Sorsogueño with an opportunity to glimpse into the historic past of the province through its museum. It also hosts multi-activities from agri-fair, cultural to sports and other large gatherings available to the public day and night with special attractions during yuletide season and festivals.
A long stretched of light brown sand along its shore and crystal clear water popular for picnic, swimming and other marine-based leisure and sports activities located in Barangay Caricaran, Bacon District facing the Albay Gulf and the Pacific Ocean approximately, 45 min. to an hour travel time from the city and very accessible to the Bacon District proper.
Sorsogon DaLocated in Barangay Cabid-An within the East District approximately 5 minutes ride from the city government center. This agri-farm & educational tourism site offers on-the-job training (OJT) and techno-demo farm for students and interested visitors. The dairy facility also produce and sells fresh milk with variety of flavors from chocolate, strawberry and other variants, as well as, “pastillas” a confectionery made from their dairy products combined with other ingredients
An array of fish stalls situated beside the national road in Barangay Bulabog, West District of the city. Marine products sourced from the Sorsogon Bay such as, blue crabs, mud crabs, shrimps, shell fish, fresh and dried fish and squids, fish and oyster salted sauces and other processed products including handcrafted ornamentals made from sea shells are available in this roadside market with the view of the Sorsogon Bay. Adjacent to the seafood market is the Pepita Park which is a rest area for travelers under the management of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) approximately, 10 minutes travel time from the city service center.
Mt. Pulog
Towering at 1,020 meters above sea level (masl) is a multi-adventure circuit for trekking, downhill mountain biking, paragliding and an ideal site for camping with availability of water source and multi-level camp grounds with an open view of the Albay Gulf, Pacific Ocean, Sorsogon Bay, Bulusan Volcano Natural Park (BVNP) mountain range and during nighttime glimmering lights of the city below. This haven for nature lovers and adventurers is located in the Bacon District and approximately, 20 minutes away travel time from Sorsogon City proper to the jump-off and usually takes 2 hours trekking time from the jump-off to the base camp and a couple of hours to the summit for a back and forth trek.
Is right at the city situated in Barangay Burabod within the compound of the Burabod Elementary School of the East District showcasing the historic memorabilia of the Sorsogueño Guerillas who fought valiantly during the World War II.
Showcases the agri-fishery products of the Sorsogon City at its most affordable price. It offers a wide variety of local products for everyone to choose from, converged right at the city proper.
Bacon Public Market
Is around 30 minutes away from the city proper which offers locally produced and some from outside dealers. Apart from the public market, the streets adjacent to it are teeming with interesting items to choose from at a street level price.
Sorsogon Convention Center
is situated just at the back of the city governance center. This new edifice is purposely built for large in-house gatherings that can be categorized under the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) and Events tourism portfolio of the Department of Tourism.
Buhatan River Cruise
Is a community-based tourism enterprise founded on environmental advocacy and initiative to rehabilitate and sustain the Buhatan River led by the local barangay LGU in partnership with their constituents as beneficiaries in convergence with City and Provincial governments and private sectors. They offer river cruising, mangrove planting, fresh seafoods and native dishes in their restaurant.
Paguriran Beach
Is a magical attraction in Bacon District located in Barangay Sawangga with a tourism highway link to the municipality of Prieto Diaz.
Paguriran Beach is considered one of the favorite tourism attraction of the city due to its light brown and fine sand beach with its crystal clear water which is part of the Pacific Ocean accented by a rock formation that resembles a lagoon just in front of the picnic area where cottages are lined-up to accommodate visitors.
Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral
is an imposing Roman Catholic reverie of the historic plight of Spanish religious influence in the province which sits at the city commercial center and beside the Sorsogon bay.
The cathedral hosts religious events all throughout the year not only for the city but also for the whole province of Sorsogon as well. It’s a venue for historical, cultural and religious celebrations of the Sorsogueños.
Our Lady of Annunciation Parish
Is a historic and religious site announcing the piety of the locality over the long period of societal transformation of the former Pueblo Civil-Bacon.
The home of Our Lady of Annunciation with its baroque architecture is accented by paintings of the station of the cross and historical statues of saints and Jesus Christ that draws devotees particularly during holy week season.
Led by an enterprising and creative lady advocating for endemic product – Pili. The agri farm site offers not only the farm experience and learnings but also basic food, health and wellness products.
Is operated by a humble and experienced farmer who shares his knowledge and wisdom on organic, inter-cropping and pili production with students and interested guests.
Gatbo Bolo Making
Is located in Barangay Gatbo, Bacon District.
It is a cohesive community where the spirit of “conveño” an Spanish term meaning to convene in the esprit de corps still present within among the constituents who are engaged in cutlery production.
This attraction showcases the authentic Sorsogueño community-based social enterprise which has inclusive benefits to the segments of the supply chain.
San Ramon Handicraft
Is a group of women happily and bravely facing the daily challenges of life through handicraft production situated in Brgy. San Ramon, Bacon District.
The empowered women’s association produced bags, baskets or “bayong”, mats and other handicrafts made from local variety of pandan known as “karagumoy”. Visitors are taught the processes in bag making during immersion in this community of women handcrafters.
Pagol Beach
is a combination of a beautiful shoreline with private cottages adorned naturally with limestone rock formation and coastal forest that drifts toward the reefs for unforgettable swimming, snorkeling and diving experience.
Lebanon Beach
