All elimination games will be held at the Department of Education Schools Division Office of
Sorsogon Gymnasium located at Balogo, Sorsogon City or at the select school in the City.
Championship matches will be held at the SM Activity Center, Balogo, Sorsogon City on
December, 2023.
During the tournament, transfer of venue may be undertaken as needed to complete the
games on schedule.

The tournament shall be open to all elementary and secondary student- athletes of Sorsogon
City.
2. For events A, B, C, and D, proof of age (photocopy of PSA birth certificate and Learner’s
Reference Number), Medical certificate, and parent’s permit shall be presented upon
registration.
· For A and B, born on or after January 1, 2010
· For C and D, born on or after January 1, 2006
Registration shall be communicated to Sorsogon City Administrator’s Office . Incomplete
documentary requirements / proof of eligibility shall be denied registration.

· Learner Reference Number
· Medical Certificate
· Parent’s permit
2. Each district shall register not later than September 29, 2023 at 5pm to give ample time to the
organizers to verify and complete the team entry. Registration shall be on a first-come first-serve
basis, subject to the maximum reserved slots for each district.
3. No walk-in registration at the tournament venue shall be entertained.
4. Registration shall be FREE of charge.
The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the current International Table
Tennis Federation (ITTF) Rules. However, any unforeseen circumstances that may arise
throughout the tournament which are not covered by the ITTF rules shall be resolved by the
tournament management with finality.
2. The tournament format to be used is single round robin during the elimination round.
3. All matches of the tournament shall be decided by a best-of-five (5) format except for
championship games which shall be decided by a best-of-seven (7) format.
4. Every participant may participate in one (1) events only, subject to the rules on eligibility.
5. The tournament matches shall be played successively. In this regard, all participants are
advised to be always at the playing venue to avoid default.
6. A 10-minute defaulting time will be observed throughout the tournament.
7. Participants will not be allowed to play if not in proper sports attire.
8. Each player shall be given reasonable time to inspect his/her opponent’s racket before
the game, provided that only the tournament management may determine whether the
playing racket complies with the requirements under the ITTF Rules and may be used in the
competition. No change of racket shall be allowed during the game.
9. The tournament management reserves the right to modify the above-mentioned rules
and competition format at any time without prior notice to ensure the success of the
tournament. The decision of the tournament management shall be final and irrevocable.
