With about 185 closed circuit televisions (CCTVs) positioned in strategic places, the capability of the City Public Safety Office and the SK3 on 24/7 monitoring, surveillance and response has significantly increased.  Acting on the directive of City Mayor Ma. Ester E. Hamor, the SK3, headed by Arnel H. Anchinges exerts efforts to consciously ensure the safety, peace and orderliness throughout the city  Anchinges added that CCTVs with sound are on their radar for procurement.

Recently, the SK3 has acquired television installed with an app showing the real-time traffic situation in and around downtown Sorsogon City. The equipment is similar to that being used in other highly urbanized cities.

Jasper T. He added that more apps will be added to the unit to maximize its usefulness.
