The Sorsogon City Local Council for Women, led by Hon. Renalene Mae J. Duka and Acting CSWDO Head Uricar Diaz, together with the presidents of the Women’s Federation from the West, East, and Bacon Districts, conducted the Parent Effectiveness Session (PES), Second Quarterly Meeting, and Cash Subsidy Distribution on July 25, 2026, at the CDRRMO Function Hall, Sorsogon City.
The Parent Effectiveness Session featured discussions on key topics aimed at strengthening families, including Orientation on Circular Economy, Child Development, Positive Discipline, and the session “My Husband, My Best Friend,” which emphasized the importance of a strong marital relationship as the foundation of a stable and nurturing family. This was followed by the quarterly meeting, during which the Women’s Federation presented its accomplishment report, discussed issues and concerns from each district, and distributed cash subsidies to qualified beneficiaries.
In his message, Acting CSWDO Head Uricar Diaz emphasized that the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) remains committed to providing accessible, responsive, and quality public service to all residents of Sorsogon City. He affirmed that the office will continue to serve as a reliable partner in implementing programs that promote the welfare of women, children, senior citizens, and other vulnerable sectors. He also encouraged women to remain actively involved in CSWDO programs and initiatives for the continued well-being of their families and communities.
