July 24, 2026 | City Hall Building
A meaningful step toward building stronger families and creating brighter opportunities was taken through the “Building a Better Future” Empowerment Seminar for child beneficiaries and their parents, held on July 24, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the SP Session Hall. The program was led by Councilor Renalene Mae J. Duka, Councilor Mark Jason D. Jamisola, and Acting City Social Welfare and Development Officer Uricar D. Diaz.
The seminar featured discussions on “Empowering Children and Their Families: Building Values and Character” and “Promoting Healthy Living for Children and Their Families: Creating a Better Future.” Through these sessions, participants gained valuable knowledge and inspiration to strengthen positive values, foster healthy family relationships, and embrace healthy lifestyles as foundations for a better quality of life.
The program reflects the continuing commitment of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the City Government of Sorsogon to the welfare of children and their families by providing guidance, support, and opportunities that empower them to build a brighter future.
