The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office V, in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), awarded a total of ₱1.04 million in Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Seed Capital Fund to three accredited SLP Associations during the Ceremonial Turnover and Distribution of SLP Seed Capital Fund Cheques held on July 9, 2026, at the SCSC Federation Function Hall.

The Poblacion Bacon Association received ₱300,000, the San Jose-Maricrum Association was granted ₱600,000, and the Bibincahan Association received ₱140,000. In addition, the City Government distributed grocery packages to the beneficiaries.

The Seed Capital Fund is a key component of the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program, which aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of beneficiaries by providing start-up capital, skills training, and other forms of support to help them establish and sustain livelihood enterprises. Through this initiative, beneficiaries are empowered to expand their businesses, achieve financial stability, and improve the quality of life for their families.
