The tournament will be run in accordance with the rules of International Sepaktakraw Federation (ISTAF) currently enforced with modifications to suit the need of the tournament and in consistence with the health protocols. Tournament competitions are considered in recognition of need for competitive sports experience of teams and/or athletes for sports status.
Any foreseen incidents not covered by the rules shall be dealt as follows:
Cases of general nature shall be resolve in accordance with the tournament rules.
Technical questions shall be referred to the resolved by the technical committee in which the tournament director is the person in-charge of the Jury of Appeal.
In case of problems not covered by the existing ISTAF rules, final decision shall be with the Technical Committee.
The tournament director is in charge and has the option to determine the schedule of the games.
The participating teams must be on the court 15 minutes before the schedule of games. The rule of succession shall be applied.
The competition shall be played in DOUBLE elimination system.
The captain of each regu shall wear an armband on the left arm. The armband should be provided by each competing team.
Anything that helps to speed the ball or helps the movement of the player is not allowed.
Substitution of players is allowed at any time when the ball is not in play.
In each regu, two (2) substitutions is allowed in each set. The player who has been substituted earlier is allowed to re-enter the same set, but no further substitution is allowed for the set.
In an event of injury, the injured player must be substituted provided the two (2) substitutions have not been utilized yet. If the two (2) substitutions have been already fully utilized and the injured player is rendered unfit to continue play, the game will be end and the regu will be considered as having lost.
Should any team give a walkover or fail to play a match through default, the opposing team shall be awarded two (2) points and zero for walkover team.
The tournament director shall be responsible for the appointment of registered Deped referees for all matches.
All protest must be submitted in writing and shall be accompanied by affidavit, witnesses, and/or evidence to support thereof to the chairman of the technical committee signed by the team coach. Protest shall be filled before the start of the second game of the concerned team.
Prizes shall be awarded in accordance with the Sulay sa Futuro rules.
Registration must be communicated to Sorsogon City Administrator’s Office.
Proof of age (photocopy of PSA birth certificate and LRN, medical certificate, and parents permit shall be presented upon registration)
Each district shall register not later than September 29, 2023 at 5pm. No walk-in registration at the tournament venue shall be entertained.
No substitution of registered participants shall be allowed after September 29, 2023 at 5 pm.
